Real example comments from someone facing issues with raccoons iin their attic

I had multiple raccoons in my attic. I’m getting them removed now. After they are removed you have to 1.) get the entrances sealed, 2.) get the attic cleaned from all the poop and urine they left behind and disinfected, and 3.) get someone to blow more insulation upstairs. It’s really not as simple as just removing the raccoons

I had a raccoon causing chaos on my roof. I tried chicken, sardines, pistachios and cat food for bait, but no luck. I think a neighbor was feeding it, so it wasn’t very interested in meat. I finally tried an egg surrounded by some cashews and it was a big break. Like your situation, the coon took the egg, but didn’t trip the trap. So the next night, I did your trick and tied the hard-boiled egg to the back of the cage. Bingo, finally got him!

Racoon gone in one night. Put radio on an AM talk station at full volume on a timer, one hour on then one hour off all night long. Left light on. I think the neighbors were about to move too. Thank you.

Incense is the answer burn a incense let the smoke circulate throughout the attic and presto no more raccoons

I have no problem with doing things yourself. I just want to defend trapper prices. We have been through all the trial and error you have been through so we know how to get them out quicker . For instance if you mounted the trap over the hole in soffit…you would have trapped raccoon first night. We also know how to seal up holes to discourage new raccoons from getting in. We also seal up other areas on the roof to prevent it from happening again. I can’t speak for other states…but most allow relocation. I relocate mine and do not kill them. In my state it is against the law to relocate raccoons unless you have permission on a property more than 40 acres. If you get caught doing otherwise…it is a 500 dollar fine. Also not many people want to put a raccoon in back of SUV while it pees everywhere. Also if you get scratched by that raccoon…you better not release it because you will have to get rabies shots unless it gets tested. They have to kill it to test it. We also treat attics for raccoon smell it left behind…because that will be an attractant for new raccoons to come back in. A breeding male who smells a female in your attic…will get back in your attic no matter what you do to seal up spots. I have seen the loud music work…but rarely. What would have worked better is an mp3 of raccoon in distress sounds…or predator sounds like coyotes. Again…that doesn’t always work either.

Noises up in the attic

A raccoon will not eat in a trp inside the attic. Th trap should be installed  on the roof. If it is installed on the ground, be sure not to let other animals get trapped in there.
